The Bloodstone

Danica has lost her home and everything familiar, cast out from the only world she has ever known. Wandering aimlessly with nowhere to go, she soon crosses paths with Zane, a young mage charged with escorting a pair of gifted twins, Darren and Sylvia, back to the academy that trained him. What begins as a simple escort mission quickly unravels into something far more dangerous.

A necromancer named Kalda, once Zane’s teacher and friend, is after an ancient relic known as the Bloodstone, a cursed artifact with the power to raise the dead and grant immortality. Joined by a trio of mercenaries known as the Van-Geldens, the group races from town to town, battling Kalda’s ever growing undead forces.

Danica may not know where she truly belongs, but one thing is certain. If they fail to stop Kalda, no town will be safe from the dead that follow in her wake. And what of the Mysterious mercenaries? Can they be trusted to not betray their former companions for an easy pay day?
